Allianz is focussed on new methodologies in the implementation of new methodologies in its IT division

Allianz Insurance  Austria - one of the world’s leading insurance companies with over 100 years experience is investing in new innovative ideas for its IT department. Thanks to the support of Dynamic Media and LearnChamp, long-established Allianz was able to develop a model project for roll-out guidance of IT projects.

Together with LearnChamp and Dynamic Media, Allianz introduced the new email application as part of a comprehensive concept. Not only does this concept combine software implementation and accepting management, it also integrates conventional training methods and interactive learning programmes.

Brigitte Hein, head of the Austrian Allianz Insurance Helpdesk sums up:

“Allianz Mail is the first and one of the most defining parts of our extensive staff portal. We wanted to provide our staff with the best technical training possible in order to deal with new developments. At the same time, we wanted to create a positive attitude towards the project in general. This is exactly what we achieved by combining specially selected types of media. In the space of just one weekend, 500 staff members made a smooth transition to the new software.”

Handbook and interactive exercises

The introduction of Allianz Mail was initially accompanied by a conventional handbook, in which the procedures of the new programme are clearly documented. In addition, staff were also provided with an interactive exercise programme and tailor-made schedules targeting specific subjects.

The interactive exercises were realised thanks to the tried and tested PowerTrainer technology.

The learning software was especially welcomed and highly commended by younger staff members. The programme instructor Robert Schnofler was described as “a friendly trainer with a sense of humour, who could be easily approached”. Furthermore, participants appreciated the fact that they could choose their own learning speed and contents. The average learning period at the computer lasted 40 minutes.

Oliver Nussbaum, co-founder of Dynamic Media on the success of the project:

“Once again, this example shows the importance of extensive customer service in order for optimum project development. Together, Dynamic Media and LearnChamp offer customers full-service, encompassing everything from consulting to concrete implementation of learning programmes. Furthermore, with our authoring software, customers are assured easy and efficient maintainence and updating of existing courses.”
